Discovery Flight

If you are curious about flying and interested in receiving a private pilot certification, a discovery flight will help you make your decision! On a discovery flight, you will get to take control of an airplane to get a sense of what being a pilot is like. Before we take off, we will do a short briefing of the flight and an airplane preflight inspection. Once that's complete, we are ready for takeoff! We will perform takeoffs, landings, and some training maneuvers. Expect the flight to last about an hour.

Private Pilot Certificate

Earning your Private Pilot Certificate is your first major step into the world of aviation. It’s more than a license — it’s the freedom to fly yourself, your friends, and your family on your schedule.

Private pilot training combines hands-on flight experience with ground instruction in aerodynamics, navigation, weather, airspace, and aircraft systems. You’ll learn how to confidently plan cross-country trips, communicate with air traffic control, handle in-flight emergencies, and operate safely in a wide range of conditions.

I will take you from your very first lesson through your FAA practical test with personalized instruction and a clear path to success. Whether you’re pursuing aviation as a career or flying for recreation, your Private Pilot Certificate opens the door to a lifetime of opportunity in the sky.

Instrument Rating

An Instrument Rating takes your flying skills to the next level, preparing you to fly in a wider range of conditions.

Instrument training focuses on flying solely by reference to your aircraft’s instruments. You’ll master precision control, advanced navigation systems, instrument approaches, departures, and en-route procedures. Most importantly, you’ll develop the judgment and discipline required to operate safely in reduced visibility and changing weather.

Adding an Instrument Rating not only increases safety and confidence, it also dramatically expands your freedom, flexibility, and professionalism as a pilot. Whether your goal is safer personal travel or building toward a professional aviation career, this rating is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your training.

Commercial Pilot Certificate

The Commercial Pilot Certificate marks the transition from flying for passion to flying for a profession. It’s the certification that allows you to be compensated for your skills and opens the door to professional aviation opportunities.

Commercial training refines your precision, consistency, and aeronautical decision-making to a professional level. You’ll master advanced maneuvers, complex aircraft operations, performance-based flight planning, and higher standards of accuracy and safety. Every lesson is designed to build the discipline and confidence required of a professional pilot.

Whether your goal is becoming a flight instructor, flying charter, towing banners, conducting aerial survey work, or continuing on to the airlines, the Commercial Pilot Certificate is a critical milestone in your aviation career path.

Multi-Engine Ratings

Adding a Multi-Engine Rating to your certificate (private or commercial) is an important step toward advanced flying. Multi-engine aircraft offer increased performance, greater redundancy, and expanded capabilities, making them an attractive option for longer-distance flights.

Multi-engine training focuses on critical concepts like asymmetric thrust, engine-out procedures, performance planning, and advanced systems management. You’ll develop the ability to maintain control and make sound decisions in the unique scenarios that can occur in a multi-engine aircraft.

Whether you’re building toward an airline career or simply expanding your flying experience, a Multi-Engine Add-On enhances both your qualifications and your confidence.

Flight Review

Staying current isn’t just a requirement, it’s a commitment to safety and professionalism. A Flight Review is designed to keep you sharp, confident, and fully prepared every time you take to the skies.

The flight review includes both ground and flight training tailored to your experience level and flying goals. We’ll review regulations, airspace, aviation weather, aeronautical decision making, and aircraft systems. For the flight portion, we will review maneuvers, emergency procedures, and overall aircraft control.

Instrument Proficiency Check

When you’re no longer instrument current, an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) is your pathway back to safe, confident IFR flight.

An IPC evaluates and refreshes your ability to perform instrument approaches, holding procedures, intercepting and tracking courses, emergency operations, and effective cockpit resource management. Each session is tailored to your experience level and typical flying environment.
